Terms of Use

Last updated: 31 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of FrƎƎjack Tech at freejacktech.com (the "site"), which is run by me, Raymond Knights ("I", "me", "my"). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Content is for information only

Everything on this site, including the tutorials, cheat sheets and videos, is provided for general information and education. It isn't professional advice. I write every guide carefully and test the steps where I can, but technology changes quickly and every setup is different.

Use the technical guides at your own risk

If you follow a tutorial, you do so at your own risk.

  • Back up your files and settings before making changes to your computer, router, Raspberry Pi or network.
  • Commands, menus and settings may differ on your hardware, firmware or software version.
  • Check that a change is suitable for your own situation, and ask your internet provider, employer or IT team before changing equipment you don't own or manage.

Use tools responsibly and legally

Some tutorials cover network monitoring and security tools. Only use them on devices and networks you own or have clear permission to test. Unauthorised access to computer systems is a criminal offence in the UK under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and similar laws apply elsewhere.

No warranty

The site and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available". I don't promise that the content is complete, accurate or up to date, or that the site will always be available or free from errors or viruses.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, I'm not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from following its content, including loss of data, damage to equipment, downtime or loss of profit. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that can't be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

The text, cheat sheets, videos, graphics and logos on this site belong to me unless stated otherwise, and are protected by copyright.

  • You're welcome to read, print and share links to the content, and to use the cheat sheets for your own personal and educational use.
  • Please don't copy, sell or republish the content, or pass it off as your own, without my written permission. Quoting a short extract with a credit and a link back is fine.
  • Product names and logos (for example Raspberry Pi, Cisco, Windows and macOS) belong to their respective owners. Mentioning them doesn't mean they endorse this site.

AI-assisted content

Some videos on this site use an AI-generated voiceover reading my script. Where that's the case, it's clearly labelled.

I link to other sites, such as official software downloads and my YouTube channels, because they're useful. I don't control those sites and I'm not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link isn't an endorsement.

The site uses, or may use, adverts (for example Google AdSense) to help cover running costs and keep the content free. Some pages may also contain affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy something through them, at no extra cost to you. Where a page contains affiliate links, I'll say so. Adverts and affiliate links never change what I recommend; I only recommend things I think are genuinely useful. I'm not responsible for products or services sold by advertisers or other sellers.

Your privacy

How I handle your information is explained in my Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
